Biomedical Equipment Technician

Optimum Biomedical provides biomedical equipment training and support services to a range of clients across the UK and the globe.

Due to exciting expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our highly successful team.

Someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Superb organisational abilities. A proven track record of customer satisfaction.

You will adhere to the company ethos by promoting and supporting a positive and healthy work environment. Previous work experience in a position where discretion and sensitivity were paramount is essential.

The position is based in our Milton Keynes office. Support work will be carried out for multiple GP practices and medical facilities throughout the UK, expanding as the business grows.

You will also be required to travel abroad to support the various training courses conducted overseas. Sometimes you will be required to be away from home for up to four weeks at a time… the right candidate will find this thrilling!

 

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician will be operating Fluke biomedical test equipment, previous experience is preferred, but not essential. What is essential, is experience carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs of biomedical equipment.

Reporting to our Senior Technical Manager, you will communicate effectively, and confidently, by telephone and email to clients in a variety of positions, across a range of cultures. Accurately administering the ordering of equipment parts and disposables comprises a large portion of this position.

Additional requirements include:

– Smart and professional presentation (no crumbled clothes or bad manners here!)

– An excellent ability to build client relationships across the entire corporate ladder

– The initiative to think ahead

– The aptitude to work independently, when necessary

– Proficiency in Apple programs and Microsoft Suite

– Competency, combined with practical knowledge, of various IT systems

Requirements: A clean driving licence and a successful DBS check

Location: The position is based in our Milton Keynes office, though work will be conducted across the UK, as well as across the globe

Salary: £23,000 – £27,000, depending on experience
